Almost Night time ~ Currently at Sooke Art Gallery - March 2024

 As the moon triumphs over sunlight, darkness barge in, leaving a subtle glow on the water—a lingering memory of light. The air turns cool, and once sun-drenched driftwood now glistens with saltwater droplets. Colours fade, silhouettes dominate the horizon, obscuring the ocean-sky boundary. Intense shore sounds pierce the deep silence, signaling the earth's shift and the shoreline transformation. The blues prevail, warmth dissipates, and the night's embrace blankets the shore. A transition to beach evenings unfolds—blankets, hot coffee, ambient sounds, awakened creatures bidding farewell until the next morning.
