Collector Information
Thank you for your interest in my work.
Each piece is created by hand in my studio in Victoria, British Columbia, inspired by the landscapes, coastlines, and quiet atmospheric moments of the West Coast.
Below you will find answers to common questions about purchasing artwork, commissions, shipping, and caring for original pieces. If you do not find the information you are looking for, you are always welcome to reach out — I am happy to help guide you in selecting the right piece for your space.
Purchasing Artwork
My work currently includes two distinct bodies of artwork:
Original Canvas Paintings
Oil paintings inspired by the landscapes and atmosphere of the West Coast.
Wood Works
Unique pieces created from locally and ethically sourced wood. These include both exquisite live-edge wood slabs and sculptural driftwood pieces. Driftwood works may be presented with solid copper feet or with refined wood bases designed to complement the natural form of the piece.
Each artwork is one of a kind.
You can browse and purchase available artworks directly through the Shop section of this website.
Because each piece is original and one of a kind, availability changes as works find their way into private collections. New pieces are added to the shop regularly.
Some artworks may also be available through selected galleries and shops around Vancouver Island..
Can I contact you before purchasing?
Yes. If you see a piece that resonates with you but have questions before purchasing, you are always welcome to reach out. I am happy to answer questions about the artwork, shipping, or placement within your space.

Can I see additional photos or videos of an artwork?
Yes. If you would like to see additional details, scale references, or other views of a piece, I am happy to provide them.
Do you accept commissions?
From time to time I accept commissions depending on my schedule and the nature of the project. Commissioned pieces are created through a collaborative process where we discuss the size, colour palette, and overall atmosphere you would like the artwork to evoke.
Because my work responds to natural elements, light, and texture, each commissioned piece remains an original work rather than an exact replication of a previous artwork.
Please note that the pricing of commissioned artworks differs from the pricing of existing pieces available on the website. A commission is a fully personalized artwork created specifically for you, and it requires a different creative process than works that emerge organically from my own exploration and imagination.
Canvas Commissions
Canvas commissions are typically accepted starting at 12 × 12 inches and larger. Collectors are invited to share the approximate size of the artwork and reference photos that capture the landscape, mood, or atmosphere they would like the painting to reflect. These references help guide the direction of the piece while still allowing the painting to evolve naturally.
Wood Works Commissions
Driftwood commissions are typically accepted for pieces 7 inches and larger. Live-edge wood commissions are typically accepted for pieces 7 inches in diameter and larger.
Each piece of driftwood or live-edge wood has its own natural character, shape, and grain, so the final artwork develops in response to the material itself.
If you are interested in discussing a commission, you are welcome to contact me
About the Artwork
What types of artwork do you create?
My work explores West Coast landscapes through a variety of original mediums and natural materials. Current pieces available may include:
• Original oil paintings on canvas
• Hand-painted driftwood pieces. These sculptural works may be presented either with solid copper feet or mounted on refined wood bases.
• Live-edge wood artworks. These pieces can be hung on the wall or displayed on an easel, depending on the natural form of the wood.
Because I work with natural materials, sizes vary throughout the year depending on the wood available during each season.
For live-edge pieces I often work with woods such as arbutus, cherry, cottonwood, maple, alder, pine, spruce, and Douglas fir.
Refined bases may be crafted from woods such as aromatic cedar, cedar, oak, walnut, arbutus, and other complementary species, depending on the character of the piece.
The availability of certain woods also influences the number of artworks that can be created. Some materials—such as arbutus, cherry, and cottonwood—are more rare to obtain, while woods like pine, spruce, and Douglas fir are generally available throughout the year. For this reason, the size, quantity, and pricing of wood works may vary depending on the materials available at the time.
Because each piece is shaped by the natural form of the wood, every artwork is completely unique.
Are artworks ready to hang or display?
Most paintings arrive wired and ready to hang. Wood and driftwood pieces are prepared for display depending on the design of the artwork.
Will the colours match what I see on my screen?
I photograph my work carefully to represent colours as accurately as possible. However, screens and devices can display colours slightly differently, so minor variations may occur.

Shipping
Over the years, my work has been shipped to collectors in many locations including Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, and other international destinations.
Delivery times vary depending on destination and courier, but most pieces are shipped within a few days once ready.
Because some artworks are created from natural materials such as driftwood or live-edge wood slabs, import regulations may vary between countries. Certain destinations may have specific customs requirements related to natural wood products.
International collectors are responsible for researching their country’s import regulations before purchasing wood works. Any customs duties, taxes, or import fees are determined by the destination country and are not included in the purchase price.
⸻
How long does it take to ship my order?
Processing times:
• Original oil paintings and wood artwork: approximately 3 business days
• Fine art prints: up to 3 weeks (some may ship sooner if in stock)
Delivery times vary depending on location, time of year, and courier services.
⸻
Can I request expedited shipping?
If you need your artwork by a specific date, please reach out before purchasing and I will explore available expedited shipping options.
Local Pickup
If you are located in Victoria, BC, local pickup may sometimes be arranged. Please contact me before purchasing to coordinate.
Damage During Shipping
Every artwork is carefully packaged to protect it during transport, and all shipments are sent with insurance.
If your package arrives showing visible signs of damage, please take clear photos of the outside of the package before opening it. These photos are important for the shipping carrier’s investigation process.
If the artwork itself appears damaged after opening, please also take photos of the artwork and the packaging materials. Contact me as soon as possible and include these images so that I can assist in initiating a claim with the courier.
While I package each piece with great care, damage that occurs during shipping is the responsibility of the carrier. All artworks are shipped with insurance, and I will assist in opening an investigation with the courier so the issue can be resolved.
Please note that carriers require documentation of the package condition upon arrival. Taking photos before opening the parcel helps ensure the claim can be processed smoothly and as quickly as possible.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the original and one-of-a-kind nature of my artwork, all sales are final.
I encourage you to review dimensions, photos, and descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you have questions about scale, colour, or placement in your space, please contact me prior to checkout.
What is the Studio Archive?
The Studio Archive features earlier original oil paintings from a previous chapter of my artistic journey. These works are deeply loved but no longer reflect my current style direction.
They are offered at special pricing as my work continues to evolve. Each piece remains an authentic, original painting in excellent condition.
⸻
Why are Studio Archive paintings offered at special pricing?
The pricing reflects artistic evolution, not quality. As my style develops, the Studio Archive allows these earlier works to find new homes where they can be appreciated and collected.
How do I care for my oil, acrylic, or mixed media paintings?
To preserve your original painting:
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
• Keep away from high humidity or extreme temperature changes
• Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth
With proper care, original paintings can last for generations.
⸻
How do I care for my wood artwork?
Wood is a natural material and may gently respond to changes in temperature and humidity over time. Small cracks or shifts in the grain can occur and are part of the natural character of the material.
To preserve your artwork:
• Keep away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture
• Avoid placing near heat sources such as fireplaces or vents
• Maintain a stable indoor environment
• Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth
• Do not use water or chemical cleaners
With proper care, your wood artwork will age naturally and beautifully over time.
